Would'nt it be cool if you could get people everything you told them to do, or get people to swallow everything you say and accept it as the truth? This might sound too good to be truth, but with converational hypnosis you are able to do just that.

How Does Conversational Hypnosis Work?

There are no magic or occult practices involved in the art of conversational hypnosis. The concept is about using tested strategies and manipulation techniques to convince other that what you say is the truth. The principles of convert hypnosis were first discovered by world known hypnotist Milton Erickson. He discovered that people fall into trance several times a day. When working on the computer, concentrating, reading and what not.

Erickson deduced that these trance states could be used for bringing people to your way of thinking. However, many people often resist direct counseling and suggestions. Often it happens that due to inertia or the natural ability to resist change, people do not like being told what to do. Hence Erickson suggested the use of rapport, confusion and circuitous ideas to bring them to a trance like state and get them around to his way of thinking. Thus rapport, confusion and indirection suggestions form the basis of conversation hypnotherapy.

Rapport: We all have tried to strike rapport with people around us. Rapport can be defined as entering into an agreement mode with the other party. For example if you are talking to someone and he says, "This is not the way" then you need to agree with the person and acknowledge that he is right.

When you have built rapport with a person he is more acceptant towards your suggestion. He will think of you as an associate and a team member and your meanings will have much more influence towards him.

Confusion: Confusion is the second principle of conversational hypnosis. Confusions is about bringing a subject into a state of mind where he does not know what to think himself and look at you for your advice. This is often as simple as saying "are you sure that is the right way to do this?"

Suggestion: Once the rapport is established and you have confused the subject, then the subject is likely to ask you about what he should do. At that moment you need to make an indirect suggestion likes "this may make you feel better!"

Conversational hypnosis is a great tool to direct people towards implementing your way of thinking. This is especially true if your way of thinking is helpful for them as well.
