The decision between burial and cremation is always a difficult decision. However, it is inevitable to make the decision when our beloved one passes away. Yet, it will be a lot easier if it is pre-planned by the deceased. At the end of the day it will be the decision of the deceased if it is a pre-planned funeral.

However, in some cases of sudden death, the deceased may not have planned it. In this case, the decision has to be made. Making such decision is very stressful. However, there is no way to escape from making the decision.

In some cases, burial will not be preferred. When there are some serious accidents, some people may pass away if they are seriously injured. In this case cremation will be the option if the family members of the people cannot be contacted immediately.

In some other cases, family members will choose to bury the deceased. Of course in this case a casket has to be purchased. The choice of the casket is also very essential to this end.

Both burial and cremation are very common ways to deal with the remains. As a matter of fact, it is totally true that no one will be willing to make the decision on the choice between burial and cremation. However, it becomes an obligation when our beloved passes away.

If the deceased has a religious belief, the funeral can be planned according to the teaching of the religion. The choice between burial and cremation should also be decided upon the teaching of the religion. For instance, cremation will be chosen if the deceased has belief in Buddhism. However, it has to be remembered that the teaching of different religions will be different. It may be necessary to consult people who are in that religion before making the final decision.

Yet purchasing a casket and bury the deceased will be a relatively an easier decision. One of the considerations of this is that one can visit the gravestone in later years. This is why sometime burial is preferred over cremation.

As mentioned, it is not easy to choose between burial and cremation. However, the idea is to make the decision according to the wishes of the deceased. If the deceased has belief in some religions, the decision can be made based on the religious teaching. If possible, pre-planned funeral will be encouraged. In this case, the decision can be made beforehand by the deceased. This can greatly reduce the pressure the family member will be facing.
