With so many things to arrange for a wedding some minor details can sometimes get lost in the whirlwind. Fortunately, the wedding photograph album is a detail that doesn't need to be arranged before the big day. It is something that the newlyweds can luxuriate over after the fact, taking their time to put together a keepsake which will continue to bring back memories of the big day. It is important to take a little time beforehand to consider how you want your album to look and what you want it to contain.

As for the layout of the wedding photography album, you will find that little has changed in modern times when compared with wedding photo albums from your parent's generation. The typical album layout will contain a portrait of the bride in her gown and then further photos of the bride and groom usually in picturesque surroundings. These will be followed by pictures of the entire wedding party all dressed up for the occasion. These people play a significant part in the day's activities and will include the bridesmaids and the best man. The bride will have a picture of her with her attendants and then usually the groom with his best men.

The next two sections are reserved for the groom and his family and the bride and her family. The wedding photograph album will also be presented in such as way as to complement the service with a fancy cover and expensive laid inner pages with covers over each image. Most wedding photo albums will be presented in white to symbolize the purity of the service and have traditional wedding symbols on the cover.

When it comes to the size of wedding photograph albums: 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 are the most common sought after sizes, and leather bound being the most popular presentation.

Traditionally, wedding albums have used gold or silver (especially the text) with the photos laid out inside shaped 'masks' for added effect. These days, wedding photographers will normally also have a digital version of the wedding photographs available on a computer disc. Hundreds of images can be stored on a CD Rom which makes these digital wedding photo albums simple to carry around and display on a TV screen with no chance of damage. These shots can also be uploaded to an online photo sharing site which means that online wedding photo albums are now also becoming popular.

Images stored on disc are easily reproduced so every guest at the wedding can benefit from a full set of pictures in a digital wedding photo album. This means that not only can the images be viewed digitally, but they can also be printed out in the traditional manner at home or at a regular photo printing store. As modern technology permits even the newer digital photo frames will become more commonplace, where photos like this can be viewed at random.
