For lovers of vacations that include everything in the price you will be spoiled for choice in the Caribbean. The popularity of all inclusive Caribbean vacations has meant they actually outnumber the accommodation only vacations sold each year. One theory suggests it is part of a plan to attract more visitors to the Caribbean; although there is no proof that there has ever been any need for this.
The most plausible explanation is the fact that for many people who want to travel to these islands, all inclusive Caribbean vacations packages are very good value for money; especially for people that like to know there are few other financial outlays to expect. Every type of vacation and travel package is available so just about anyone's travel needs can be tailor made to suit them. Some visitors only require flights to the Caribbean as they are visiting relatives; these visitors only require a flight package as their accommodation would have already been arranged.
For the average tourist and his family, an all inclusive Caribbean vacation is the more likely scenario with costs manageable right from the start. While many people like to book everything themselves, this isn't always the least expensive option as operators can offer massive discounts. Of course travelers who like to arrange everything them self, would not consider such an option even if the vacation were 'to die for'. Many people are still unsure of what to expect from an all inclusive vacation even though they have now been around for a good many years.
The only constant with every vacation booked is that the accommodation is included as part of the price. For example, all food, even snacks are part of the arrangement with this type of vacation; this arrangement can vary but the majority will at least supply a cooked or continental breakfast. It is strange how many people still believe if they have booked a full board package that it actually means all inclusive!
A full board package will include breakfast lunch and supper, but not drinks, while an all inclusive Caribbean vacation package will include meals and drinks. Some hotels also offer special vouchers which can be used at other hotels, restaurants and clubs; whilst guests may receive a discount, they still have to pay. For a person or family booked on an all inclusive Caribbean vacation, there is little to pay; dining at sister hotels or restaurants at no additional cost is quite normal and means you do not have to spend a great deal of money even if you leave the resort.
