Columbia Industries Inc. is one of several brand names of Ebonite International, a manufacturer of bowling balls and other ten-pin bowling equipment. Other brand names include Dyno-Thane, Ebonite, Hammer Bowling, Robby's, and Track.
Columbia Industries' rise to fame began in 1960, when it manufactured its first polyester resin ball, the "Columbia 300", in Ephtata, Washington, near the Columbia River. Since then, the Columbia 300 line of bowling balls has become world-famous, catapulting the brand to fame, making Columbia Industries one of North America's leaders in the manufacture of bowling equipment.
Columbia Industries manufactured its first polyester ball back in 1960, calling it the "Columbia 300". Shortly after its introduction, the Columbia 300 bowling ball became one of the most famous brands of bowling balls in the world of bowling and has made Columbia Industries, Inc. one of the foremost manufacturers of bowling balls in the world. To date, Columbia Industries, Inc. distributes their famous brand to all 50 states in the United States as well as to 30 countries all around the world.
Columbia 300s are famous for their beautiful and eye-catching colors and designs, made of pearly, brightly colored polyester materials. Columbia 300s look good, but more importantly, they have great performance. Columbia Industries Inc. dedicates its resources for research and development to improve the "striking sphere" of their Columbia 300s.
Columbia 300 bowling balls are categorized into different types based on performance, and each has a different name. High performance balls are called Resurgence, normal performance balls have the Wrath-High Flush and Rival, while those that are under the value performance category has the Jazz (which come in different colors). Entry level reactive balls and polyester balls have Scout/R and White Dot, respectively.
Columbia Industries Inc. does not just manufacture and sell bowling balls. They also produce bowling ball bags, bowling ball hand-grips, and bowling accessories.
