Knowing The Black Siberian Husky | Dogs

There are many things to learn about the Black Siberian Husky when you even just begin thinking about bringing one home. Besides their incredible good looks and their ability to be a working dog, there are many things that need to be uncovered. Many of the dogs of this breed are not completely solid in color and in fact, the Black Siberian Husky often has white markings all over the face.

And while many people automatically assume that this breed has blue eyes and blue eyes only, their eyes can also come in blue, amber, brown or even a mix of two different colors. This breed not only has fur that is beautiful to look at, but it serves them a great purpose as well. Their wooly undercoat makes a nice base for the outer coat, which is considerably softer. And it is with this fur that this dog is able to withstand temperatures as low as negative sixty degrees below zero.

And something that is not so widely known about this breed is that not all of the different dogs have the same blue eyes. There are dogs with brown and amber and there are also Husky's out there that have one eye of each color.

They are trusting of people and not aggressive at all. Overall, the Black Siberian Husky has a decently balanced temperament and would be a fantastic addition to anyone's home.

It does seem though that while they are extremely intelligent dogs, they only listen to your commands when they feel that it is justified. They work at their own pace and seem to have a mind of their own, which can be a wonderful thing on one hand and then a terrible thing on another. But all in all, this is a pretty well balanced dog that is both playful and gentle.

The male dogs can be expected to become between forty-five and sixty pounds while the female is more in the range of thirty five to fifty pounds in weight. While this breed is generally free of a lot of health problems, they can end up with hip dysplasia and some minor eye problems.

And as far as their living arrangements, they would do best in a home that can provide them with plenty of room to run around in. If they are in an apartment, they can manage but they would need to be given many opportunities to run and exercise in order to maintain a healthy status.

If you are ready, willing, and able to provide the Black Siberian Husky with the love, attention, and healthy living conditions it requires, then now is the time to begin looking so you can find that perfect friend.
