Nano mp3 Player | Music

The world is getting smaller. Everything, from CDs to cell phones to computer chips, seems to be shrinking. With today's technology, we now see nano mp3 players, about half the size of a credit card and thinner than a deck of cards, holding up to 8GB of music, pictures, and video. Due to its micro size, nano mp3 players have become a popular choice among millions of people.

Nano mp3 players are seen in a few different places. First, Creative offers a Nano Plus as part of its line of Zen mp3 players. The Nano Plus is available in ten colors, and comes with either 512MB or 1GB of storage. Apple also sells nano mp3 players. The company's old iPod nano is available in 1, 2, or 4GB, and can be purchased in black or white. The new iPod Nanos, however, are smaller, come in more colors, and are available as 4GB players or 8GB players

Because of the variety in available storage capacity among nano mp3 players, the price of the devices range from about $60 to $200, the players with more storage space costing more. Whereas Apple's new iPod Nano runs at $150 for 4GB and $200 for 8, the original, smaller Nanos range in price from $90 to $130. For less space, Creative's Nano Plus can be found priced at $60 for 512MB and $75 for 1GB.

Is bigger better? Not necessarily. Although some of the nano players have less features than regular mp3 players, this is not true for all of the nanos. The new iPod Nano, with its larger than average (for other nano mp3 players) screen, is actually designed to be a small video player. Unfortunately, neither the Creative Zen Nano Plus nor the older versions of iPod Nanos have this video playing capability. Users who want video playback, though, need only up their price range about $40, a relatively small price compared to a regular sized mp3 player

Nano mp3 players are being seen more and more both as more people become aware of their existence and as more features are being added to them. Their small size, aiding greatly in their super portability, is what users love most about them.
