What is sex? Sex can be curiously described as an adhesive force that holds together two people of different genders. What is orgasm then? It is the objective of every scorching sex session, it is the ultimate reward of having sex in the first place.

Besides being pleasurable, it is a fact that orgasms have certain health benefits for both partners. If sex is seen as the "cake" of a relationship, then orgasm plays the role of sugar in that cake. Surprising as it may seem at first, there are scientific evidences that point to the tremendous health benefits of a powerful orgasm for men.

Over the past 50 years, a number of studies have shown that orgasm or sexual climax is just as important for the overall health of a man as any other functions of their body.

For istance, in the early 1950s, Dr Alfred Kinsey released his studies of the intimate lives of men and women. It was done with a very big sample size and considered reliable. As a matter of fact, Dr. Kinsey became famous because of these groundbreaking studies.

One of the Kinsey reports concluded that :-

i)enaging in sex reduces stress
ii)having frequent sex and orgasms make a man less violent and less hostile

Thus, sex and orgasms have a beneficial long-term effect of calming down a man and helping keep the psychological balance.

But that's not all. Later on, studies showed that frequent sex and orgasms :-

i) means a lower death rate for both men and women and
ii) also means a lower risk of heart attacks

In other words, sex prolongs life. It is for your best interest to engage in sex regularly. Tell that to a monk or a nun!

In another study by an American doctor, Dr.Ted McIlvenna, it was found that sexually active people are more joyful than others. They also take fewer sick leaves. Furthermore, Gynecologist Dudley Chapman claimed that orgasms help the body fight infections. This is hardly a surprise and is supported by psychologists from the Wilkes University.

Downunder in Melbourne, Australia, doctors there also found that frequent male ejaculations for men between the ages of 20 and 50 helps dramatically decrease the risk of prostate cancer. Additionally, there are separate studies that suggest that regular orgasms in males prevents painful urination in old age. Wow!

Before you start scouring the net for potential sex partners, it must be clarified that there is still a lot of work to be done before science can provide us with a definitive link between ejaculation and a lower risk of prostate cancer. Anyway, having sex is good, provided you do it within the legal and moral limits.

So there you are. Sigmund Freud is probably right when he stated that sex is the greatest human motivator. We humans were meant to have sex often and to enjoy it a lot. And nature rewards us with good health for enjoying ourself. What can be a better motivator?
