Every internet marketer knows the words. Google AdWords and Google AdSense are the new kids in town in the internet marketing craze and everyone cannot wait to jump on the bandwagon. Suddenly there are fliers and e-books everywhere touting the greatness of these marketing venues and encouraging everyone to fly off their couch, sign up with an affiliate company and launch their own internet marketing career.

What is AdSense? What is AdWords? Are they the same thing? What differences are there? These are details that need too be discovered but the information is often not given by the fanatics out to get converts. It is surprising the number of gaps in the information. Information is one thing an internet marketer cannot be short on.

The concepts behind Google's AdWords campaign is very simple. When people go to Google they type in a number of words into the search engine bar which will allow Google to direct them in the direction they need to go. These words are what are known to individuals in the internet marketing community as keywords.

The keywords are used to guide potential clients to a specific ad or webpage. When making ads if you use the keywords you can have your ad showed on the same page that shows the search results Google put up. This can lead to nearly double the exposure.

Setting up a profitable Adwords campaign isn't to be done lightly. Even greater care should be taken when managing it. Adword campaigns that fail cost marketers much of their advertisement budget. Because Adwords is a pay-per-click advertising plan it allows advertisers greater amounts of exposure for a small fee; usually less than one dollar, but that can add up fast.

Adsense works for the website owner like adwords works for the advertiser. With adsense, website owners choose a list of topics or keywords that are pertinent to the topic of their website and then Google sends them a variety of adwords ads to show on their site. When someone clicks on the ad they are payed a portion of the fee google charges the advertiser. Hopefully when the searcher clicks over they will buy from the advertiser. If working properly this is beneficial for both adwords and ansense subscribers.

Anyone still confused about the relationship between AdWords and AdSense can Google the two words for a more detailed explanation and the steps to launching their own respective campaigns.
