It wasn't long after the invention of the carpet, that carpet cleaners were invented as well. In 1860 in Chicago, the very first carpet cleaner that was hand held was created and then tested. In the 1900s, Cecil Booth invented the first vacuum that was power operated.

James Spangler created a vacuum cleaner shortly after Cecil Booth's invention. James later sold it to his cousin, Hoover, and now this name is synonymous with vacuum cleaners and can be found in almost every home around the world.

For all of the housewives out there, the carpet cleaner was labelled as a blessing because it was able to help in keeping the house clean and it only took a fraction of the time. Right from the very beginning, vacuum cleaners only had the ability to suck up dirt and dust, even though with the modern technology that we have these days, the inventors are able to create wet cleaners that can steam the carpets and kill all the germs at the same time.

Looking at carpets, you will find that it is capable of blanketing a floor of a flat, house or bungalow and it also keeps people's feet really warm during the wintertime. Back in the old days, people had to sweep their carpets. However, with the vacuum cleaner being invented, users are able to easily remove the dirt and dust from their carpets with a lot less effort. Since corporations, businesses and apartments required someone to clean all of their carpets, the invention of the commercial vacuum cleaner followed soon after.

A pump system is what makes the vacuum cleaner operates. It works by the force of the air from the hose and then the dust and dirt is picked up by the suction in the hose. A filtering system is inside the vacuum cleaner and its purpose is to collect the dirt. These filters can be removed when they are full and put in the garbage.

Currently, there are seven different types of carpet cleaners: Canister, Upright, Robotic, Built-in, Backpack style, Hand held and Wet/Dry.

Your requirements will determine what kind of vacuum cleaner to purchase. With many styles, power sizes and voltages available, the actual task of carpet cleaning seems to be effortless.

The cyclone carpet cleaner is one of the better inventions and upgrades in the history of vacuum cleaners. The dust and dirt from your home is collected in a large cylinder. The vacuum cleaner operates with a combination of central air force and filters. The dirt is filtered in stages in order that the air going into the cylinder is cleaned and released back out into the air through a central outlet.
