This will also be highly beneficial if you or anyone in your family suffer from hay fever, or any other sinus problems. The best thing about solid fuel fires is that it is cost effective, and solid fuel like wood, is much cheaper than gas, and it burns cleaner. It is also said the solid fuels can reduce any member of your family getting asthma, hay fever or eczema, along with other things.

No if you want the ambience, but you do not want to get involved with the smoky start of wood, you could go for the gas fires. Once you have chosen which style you want in your home, it will look just like a normal traditional fire place, the best thing about it is that it heats up like a traditional fireplace too. The only difference, if that it is easier to light, because all you need to do it push a switch. The other different with gas fires, if you care about any of this, is that the bottom of the flame will have a blue tint, instead of the non-color of a wood fire. This will make it easy for anyone to tell that you have a gas fire instead of a wood fire; the other thing is that gas does nothing good for the ozone layer and it is even worse for the global warming. One other thing about the gas variety is that you do not need a chimney, or even a flue, because there is no smoke that need to escape, so if you want an easy to install alternative because you o not have a chimney, then your best bet would be the Gas Fire place, or the Electric.

Now this works almost the same as a gas fire that we spoke about earlier, however, when we talk about electric fires many people will think two bar heaters. This is not the case, electric fires have comes a very long way since the old days, and these are the easiest to install.
