With that in mind, select the greenhouse that you believe fits into your budget as well as one that will suit the space you have picked out. There are many greenhouse kits to choose from the allow you to assemble them in no time and be ready to go rather quickly.
With an unlimited budget there are some truly amazing greenhouse designs that can be built by professionals. However, most people will either build a moderate greenhouse that utilize available panels or purchase a home garden greenhouse so to meet their cost restrictions.
You will find that there are many greenhouses to choose from in many different sizes. There are also smaller greenhouses, sometimes referred to as mini greenhouses, which can be placed on decks and balcony landings for those who are space challenged. Measure your space and build or buy accordingly.
If you choose to build your own there are some decisions you will have to make about materials. Most greenhouse frames are made from wood or aluminum. They each have their respective pluses and minuses. Though wood is more pleasing to the eye, it is not as strong and durable as aluminum though both will do on a good foundation.
Speaking of a good foundation, there are greenhouse kits that can be placed directly on level ground but you can also use concrete slab, blocks, wood, gravel or brick. If you would like to further enhance a dirt floor you can do so by laying stone pavers, a landscaping screen or even newspaper covered with mulch for the floor.
Just like the choices in the frame and foundation you have choices for the covering on your greenhouse. You can choose inexpensive plastic sheeting that might have to be replaced every year or a double walled paneling or roll that is easy to install. Some people prefer glass but it can be broken easier than the other choices. All of these materials have a snow load and UV rating so pay attention to your areas needs.
If you want a greenhouse that is portable and easily moved, this will definitely impact your choice. There are greenhouses on the market that are light and can be moved from place to place. Most home built greenhouses are not so easy to move as they are made with a heavier wood frame. This may impact your decision to just buy a greenhouse kit instead of building one.
