Glycerin soap making is probably the easiest method of making soaps compared to the other general soap making techniques. This way you can make the soaps very quickly. Glycerin is a material that has always been popular for the moisturizing properties. It gets dissolved in water pretty easily and often considered to be a good solvent.

Traditionally Glycerin was used as a byproduct in soap production. The homemade soaps with Glycerin in it are the best ones to use. You can purchase the Glycerin for soaps from various stores that sell the candle and soap ingredients as well as the Internet have a number of online stores.

The other materials that you need for Glycerin soap making are soap base, molds, additives and fragrance and oil. First of all you need to boil the soap bases taking them into a container. You can either use a microwave oven for this and in case of large-scale production you can try out a double boiler.

Never forget to cover the container or else the extra moisture will get evaporated and the base will become dry. If you prefer to use the microwave then you need to stir the base after certain intervals to mix the base pieces, which have not melted yet. While using a double boiler simply boil the water and add the base in it.

You can walk away but at the same time keep an eye on the container to check whether the base is already melted or not.

You can add the fragrance and colors of your choice during the procedure. The colors should be added in a small quantity like 1/8th of a teaspoon and never use excess which can result into over staining and can also spoil your hand and the towels that you touch. The fragrances are added at a quantity of around .25v ounce to each pound of base and keep stirring so that it gets dissolved completely.

When Glycerin is added in the base the melting will take time according to the melting point of the raw Glycerin. Usage of Glycerin can result into a clear soap, which is often liked by everybody. Your kid is going to love it if you can put a small toy inside the soap bar. Once the base is melted and all the additives are added to it, you can pour the mixture in to the molds at warm condition. It will take a few hours to cool of and then you can use them or even gift to the friends on various occasions.

Now you need to be careful while buying the Glycerin for your soaps, as there are different qualities available with different suppliers. If the store from where you are buying the glycerin is not an authentic one then there can be impurities present in it.

So select the glycerin that is clear and pure as this is the most important part of Glycerin soap making.
