You can make your nutrition education more valuable no matter what type of job you have, or intend to have. Of course it is a given that as we become more experienced, we become more valuable. And now, in today's world of degenerative disease and obesity and as insurance and medical care becoming out of reach for many, nutrition is becoming even more important.
This trend will likely continue as the population grows older, and as "baby boomers" strive to stay healthy and ward off disease. Even the President's Cancer Panel recommends that insurance cover nutrition counseling, wellness programs and that government should take a more active role in American's access to healthy foods. Those with a nutrition education will be helping to educate the population as well as filling in the jobs within these wellness programs.
In light of the fact that toxins and chemicals are abundant in modern societies, researchers and others are becoming more aware that people need to help their bodies. In fact, a study on infant's cord blood collected from American hospitals in 2005 by the American Red Cross showed an average of 208 chemicals in the blood. This disheartening news prompted Congress to send a letter to the American Chemical Council encouraging them to begin studies on the toxicity of these chemicals.
Eating the right foods and cleansing our bodies is more important than it has ever been. Nutrition is a widely sought after field as more of these types of studies come to light and people realize they want to be proactive with their health instead of waiting for disease to set in.
It is important to update your education and stay in touch with the fact that body cleansing and holistic health are becoming more popular. We must learn how the body cleansing process works in with the health of our population. We must also teach how food affects our body and it's natural ability to cleanse, and how foods may suppress our natural immune system.
Nutritional education is becoming an increasing valuable field. Increase your value more by gaining more knowledge in holistic therapies such as supplements and holistic bodywork including massage therapy and lymphatic drainage. Most important, educate yourself on body cleansing, colon cleansing and herbs that help the process. Your clients will feel better, progress more quickly and thank you for saving their health.
