Partaking in the occasional glass of drink here and there in the comfort of your own home our out with friends won't do you a great deal of harm and indeed could be good for you. However an increasing trend amongst people out drinking is 'binge drinking' or drinking to excess which will do significant damage to the ability of maintaining youthful looks in the future.
The youngsters of today who party today may live to regret their actions as they become older. The may well experience health problems and age much faster than those who drink more sensibly or don't drink at all.
Alcohol dehydrates you and by drinking a lot of alcohol the effect of the dehydration is magnified which causes the skin to become less well hydrated and there by becomes dry and lifeless.
Contrary to common belief especially amongst young women a moisturiser will only replace surface hydration and not rehydrate the skin from within.
As much excessive drinking is usually done in a party atmosphere this may also involve smoking or at very least passive smoking environment which will also have a detrimental effect on the skin aging process.
Lifestyle choices affect your appearance and a unhealthy life style is reflected in an unhealthy complexion, and that is not the way to stay looking young.
As the obesity problem continues almost out of control amongst younger women and men it should be no suprise to anyone that at least some of the excess weight can be directly linked to excess use of alcohol.
While they might 'get away with it' while they are still young it will certainly take it's toll as they age and should they continue to live in such a manner they will see the effects their foolhardy behaviour has had on them both on their appearance and their general health.
I don't want to suggest people should stop enjoying life as that is essential to stay young. All I do suggest is that before subjecting your body to excess give some thought for the fact you might regret those rash actions some time in the future.
Just don't forget moderation is the key to success in everything.
