This year start of flirting week by sending out a few free e-cards. These e-cards can be of any genre you want, so if you want to send a cheeky note in one, no one is going to stop you. Free e-cards are quickly becoming the favored choice of communication for some people, and the main purpose they use them for is? Yes you guessed it, flirting.
Though there are plenty of everyday reasons to flirt, International Flirting Week is an annual event, coinciding with the celebration of Valentine's Day, to reestablish flirting as the first step in getting involved in a varied, fun, mutually interesting relationship. Flirting can be defined as courting playfully or behaving amorously without serious intentions, in other words, to flirt is to play at love.
Joking, making open and friendly gestures such as smiling, exchanging meaningful or starry-eyed looks, writing cute notes to leave on someone's desk, or sending a flirtatious greeting card are just some of the many ways to let the flirt in you come out to play.
The creator of this holiday, Robin Gorman Newman, suggests that flirting is not only a great way to meet and interact with people in a way that may advance the relationship without making oneself too vulnerable, but is also perfect to bring the romance back into an existing relationship.
If you are currently unattached, you probably already know that flirting is not just for couples or those looking for a partner.
Flirt with a co-worker to lighten up the mood at the office and to make a transition from a work-place rapport to a friendship, and possibly more. Show your affection, as a friend or more, but to avoid potential complications, make sure that the object of your attention is not attached or otherwise unavailable.
As discussed above, flirting is a phenomenally versatile activity, with few limitations with regard to where it can be practiced, subject matter, use of props or little gifts, proximity, or relationship intentions, if any, so long as the signals are somewhat clear.
Of course, certain scenarios are troublesome for flirting, so using your judgment of possible consequences if the kind of attention you want to give a person is not kindly received is highly recommended.
As in any situation, no means no, and if you should receive any negative feedback about what you are doing, you'd be well advised to abide by it. If the conditions warrant it, turn your charm on, and you may not only find more people reacting positively to you, but also increase how much fun you have in your relationships and daily interactions.
Enhance the quality of your life just by celebrating International Flirting Week!
