Have you ever thought about learning Spanish? I have! It is kind of like thinking about going on a diet. Why should I diet? I really need to lose weight. I would look a lot better. My clothes would fit me better. So on and on it goes. That is what this article is about. Why should I or why should you learn Spanish?

For each one of us the reason would be a different. Maybe you love to travel and want to communicate better with the locals while traveling. Maybe your company is opening an office in South America and need your help there. Maybe your neighbor or your mechanic speak no English and you want to be able to communicate with them. Depending on your age, it could be different. Let's look at a few possibilities as to why learning Spanish is beneficial.

4. Learning Spanish could help me delay the onset of Alzheimer's disease by keeping my mind active.

Learning Spanish could create endless possibilities for each one of us. The Census Bureau survey in the year 2000 indicated that we have in the United States a Mexican population of 18,382,291. Learning Spanish is becoming very important in our everyday lives. At the local grocery store, our favorite restaurant, the hotel down the street, it seems that everyone is speaking Spanish.
