Have you ever thought about learning Spanish? I have! It is kind of like thinking about going on a diet. Why should I diet? I really need to lose weight. I would look a lot better. My clothes would fit me better. So on and on it goes. That is what this article is about. Why should I or why should you learn Spanish?
For each one of us the reason would be a different. Maybe you love to travel and want to communicate better with the locals while traveling. Maybe your company is opening an office in South America and need your help there. Maybe your neighbor or your mechanic speak no English and you want to be able to communicate with them. Depending on your age, it could be different. Let's look at a few possibilities as to why learning Spanish is beneficial.
Children, Young Adults and High School Students
1. Learning Spanish in college could help me get a Bachelor of Arts Degree instead of a Bachelor of Science Degree.
2. By learning Spanish it could help me with my SAT test.
3. Learning Spanish could look good on my work resumes.
4. Learning Spanish could help me fill some of my basic units.
Adults
1. Learning Spanish could give me more job opportunities.
2. Learning Spanish could give me opportunities in Spain, Mexico or anywhere in Latin America.
3. Learning Spanish could help me be a better neighbor.
4. Learning Spanish could make it a lot more fun to take a trip to Malaga, Spain or Madrid.
5. Learning Spanish could help me be considered as a Flight Attendant on International Flights.
6. Learning Spanish could help me live my dream and live in a foreign country.
Older Adults
1. Learning Spanish could help me have something interesting to do.
2. Learning Spanish could make traveling to lots of places be more fun.
3. Learning Spanish could help me communicate with my cleaning lady.
4. Learning Spanish could help me delay the onset of Alzheimer's disease by keeping my mind active.
5. Learning Spanish could help me at the Senior's Center in visiting with all of the Mexican people.
Learning Spanish could create endless possibilities for each one of us. The Census Bureau survey in the year 2000 indicated that we have in the United States a Mexican population of 18,382,291. Learning Spanish is becoming very important in our everyday lives. At the local grocery store, our favorite restaurant, the hotel down the street, it seems that everyone is speaking Spanish. Don't you think it is time for you to learn a little Spanish?
