You can even watch the DVD in English and have Spanish subtitles if you want to practice reading and see how the grammar works. Doing this is a fairly painless way to learn the language because you can get into the movie and forget that you are actually learning at the same time.


Music can also be very useful as a learning aid, although you will need to be aware that music lyrics can often be frustratingly difficult to understand because of the different musical styles out there and because there is often quite unusual vocabulary and word order used. Nonetheless, look for more traditional styles of music and the language should be ok.

Courses

Taking a course or class is another way to learn to speak Spanish fast. It may be more traditional but you get important face to face contact with another person (the teacher). You can watch how they pronounce words and get confidence from talking and interacting with them in class.
