Over the years we as a human race have grown and spread our wings. We have created things, to save lives and we have create things to make life just little easier. Let’s take the internet as an example. We all see the internet as a means of communication. More an more people around the world, everyday, are getting highspeed internet installed in their homes, which means that they can be online 24 hours a day, and the price stays the same, which means they pay a fixed rate every month. When the internet first started it was completely text based, and one could do nothing with it, except read a few articles of interest. These days however, the internet has evolved into a tool that many people cannot do with out, which means that companies like Microsoft, and the like, has turned the internet to a tool that makes out lives easier.

These days the internet is not only used for reading news or other articles as it was in the older days. Now we use the inter for things like shopping for our daily groceries, buying clothes from other countries, buying consumer electrical appliances from other countries and trading stocks, to name but a few things. The internet, is also used to save lives these days, with things like email, and instant messenger, where you can instantly talk to someone and tell them what is going wrong. You can use mobile internet on your mobile phone as a sort of panic system, with a GPS to track where your loved ones are. And these days, even the doctors are depending on the internet to share patient records electronically and instantly through what is called electronic medical records software.

EMR software is a way for hospitals and doctors’ offices to get rid of paper in the office. You have heard of paperless office, the electronic medical records software is a way for doctors and nurses to have paperless practices. We all know that global warming is getting worse, and part of it is to do with cutting down to many trees for paper use. So the people who created electronic medical records software, or EMR software, is helping to fight the biggest problem our world is facing. That, however, is not the only reason this software was created. It is also created to save lives, as now doctors are able to communicate, and share files even easier and quicker with the electronic medical records software. If your doctor has your file on electronic software like this, and you suddenly need to be taken a hospital in another state, you do not need to wait for hours for your medical record to be sent to where you are. Now doctors are able to electronically send the information to wherever it is needed, instantly, without hassle, and in total. This will help other doctors know exactly what is wrong with you, and your history with certain medications.
