The Victorian Era never seems to go out of style, and so it can make a lovely way to decorate your bed & breakfast. There are plenty of ideas you can use to incorporate this type of theme without any problems at all. You can easily find decorative items to enhance the overall look. You also won't have to spend a fortune to complete this particular theme.

Take your time to select the location for the bed & breakfast. If you already know you will be going with a Victorian style of decor, then try to find a location that represents that from the outside as well. Look for two story locations with large windows and unique features. Contact a good real estate agency and they can likely point you in the right direction.

There are many small details that really do count with this type of decorating so don't pass them by. You can easily change the handles on cabinets in your kitchen and even the doorknobs on the rooms in the location. This way everything down to the last detail really does fit well together. Go to your local home improvement store to see what they have for you in the way of fireplace mantel enhancements and molding for your walls.

One very lovely aspect you can incorporate if you can get your hands on it is stained glass. Make sure you look around for it as you may get lucky and get a great price on it too. Always know the measurements for the windows so you can be ready if you come across it. You can also buy stained glass decorations to hang on your porch which will enhance the outside look of it.

You maybe rolling your eyes when you read the concept of wallpaper here. Don't worry, it will go on much easier than it did in the past! Wallpaper can be a great way to transform those walls back to the Victorian era. Makes sure you buy something that is good quality as well as washable though. That way it will look great and last a very long time.

Take your time to choose the rugs and the curtains you want to display as well. Chances are you are going for the full effect with hardwood floors. They can make the bed & breakfast too dark though so you want to brighten it up with the rugs and curtains. That way it will look very pleasant and attractive. You want it to be inviting rather than appear to be cool and distant.

Don't get into a rush to buy your items for bed & breakfast. Take your time to explore the many options. That way you can compare prices and get a good idea of the complete layout for the business. You definitely want to cover all the bases and put some time into various details that will really bring the look to life.

If you aren't sure what look you want then you need to get some examples. There are plenty of great pictures out there you can find in books, magazines, and on the internet. This is a great way for you to have a well decorated bed & breakfast that will take your guests breath away the moment they see it.
