Some guys do things the same all their lives. Women too. We mimic our parents. My mom bought me plain white stretch briefs as underwear all through my childhood, so when I grew into an adult, I bought them too. Little did I know what a fashion sin I was causing.

It was not until, perhaps, I was about fifty that I met a woman who saw them and told me to remove them. I thought she might be hot for me, but the true fact was, she said, "Put on some jeans, we are going to J.C. Penny's right now and finding you some decent adult underwear!"

My dad used to walk around the house in his loose (pretty bad looking) plain white boxers. This frightened me; not his walking around, but the fact that this might be what has become of me. A middle-aged guy walking around the house in baggy white boxers; I was becoming daddy, and she is she was expediting that process by making me buy loose white boxer shorts." To my pleasant surprise, that was not the case. Yes, there were boxers, but they were tight-fitting designed boxers that felt and looked great. Some were plain boxers but well-designed, some were very brief breifs, but colorful to match my clothing. She made me throw away all my old BVD's which, like an old car or computer, had become my friends, so there was that short grieving process. But it was very short-lived. She liked them so much, she would go on special shopping sprees to find me good looking boxer shorts.

She was a thong collector. This woman loved thongs, not just for their looks but for their comfort. So to be a good neighbor, I went on several thong-hunts and brought home some pretty sexy stuff. This made her happy. And oddly enough, me too. Could nice underwear be the answer to all human issues, I thought to myself. Nahh. But close enough.

Not that this has anything to do with undergarments, but I am a cartoonist and to put bread on the table I have online gift shops featuring my cartoons (Londons Times Cartoons).

The thought occurred to me one night, and, perhaps it was an out-of-the-ordinary thought, which cartoonists are prone to have, and that thought was, "Yeah, we might look sexy in our trendy undergarments, but............but....or butt.......do we look funny?

Of course nobody, especially a male, wants to be laughed at when his underwear is noticed, especially by a female and even more especially by a female he plans to be his soulmate.

So I decided, that since, to most of us, sex is fun, and one has to admit its a little funny, why not make it both with something fun and funny, so I started manufacturing my cartoons on thongs and men's boxers. Not only funny but sexy ones.

My online shop, AThongInMyHeart.Com was launched last night and the feedback is tremendous, not to mention the orders coming in. There really are other people out there who think (somewhat) like I do! Harrrah.

My first male-instinct thought was to name it "A Boxer In My Heart" but for some reason I felt it would go over like "A Stint In My Heart".

The offbeat cartoon thongs and boxers, to my knowledge, are the first of their kind on the market and the topics of the cartoons range from famous rock stars to dogs to love and romance.

So my thought is, maybe I did it a bit too late for this Valentines Day, but there is still plenty of time. Both the boxers and thongs are sexy and funny and I want some of them myself. She now has me hooked on trendy fashionable underwear and by golly now I have my own line. Eat your heart out BVD!
